The GreenON Food Manufacturing Program is a merit-based funding program that supports food and beverage processors. Its purpose is to accelerate greenhouse gas reductions by enhancing the efficient use of inputs, processing and outputs in the food and beverage processing sector.
GreenON Food Manufacturing supports Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan by helping food and beverage processers expand the use of innovative technologies and practices to reduce emissions.
The goal of the GreenON Food Manufacturing Program is to help reduce GHG emissions from food and beverage processing facilities and help food and beverage processors move towards a path that both reduces emissions and improves their competitiveness. Program outcomes support sector development so that lessons learned from the program carry forward as the Province pursues long-term climate change goals to maximize GHG emission reductions.
