OCE celebrates excellence in entrepreneurship and collaborative innovation, announcing the Martin Walmsley Award for Entrepreneurship and the Mind to Market Award annually each fall at our Annual General Meeting. The David McFadden Entrepreneur Challenge was held at Discovery 2014, 2015, and 2016.

1. Martin Walmsley Award for Entrepreneurship helps move OCE-funded university-based research into innovative business ventures.
2. Mind to Market Award celebrates the best OCE-supported research collaboration between business and research communities that results in successful commercialization of leading edge ideas and solutions.
3. David McFadden Energy Entrepreneur Challenge awards $25,000 and a suite of business services to a university or college student to help advance a business concept in the energy field.
